THE 3 NATURAL ANTI DEPRESSANTS

I am a great believer of holistic healing. For some of you who is not familiar with the term holistic healing it means by web definition "A view of health care focusing on the whole self (body, mind, spirit) both natural and spiritual cures. It embraces both traditional and new age therapy."

I love attending health seminars, reading and talking to friends who are doctors and comparing notes but there is one information that struck me that I wanted to share with you all and that I believe would be most useful to all of us. The 3 Natural Anti Depressants.

What are these?

               1. OXYGEN
               2. NATURAL SUNLIGHT
               3. EXERCISE

We are all susceptible to depression. And there is nothing wrong about it. It is normal. But the thing which makes it not normal when we prolong our depression and we don't bounce back from it. These natural anti depressants can help us out from our depressed state of mind and move to our "normal state of mind".

We all need natural OXYGEN

Oxygen by means of breathing deeply and not in a shallow way. We all need those fresh air going on into our bodies. Some people can be very lazy breathing or sometimes we are not just aware of it.
Medical studies have shown that a lot of diseases are linked to lack of oxygen in our cells.

Please don't forget to BREATH so as not to ruin your CHAKRAS... as one of my spiritual mentors have taught me and it really helped me big time when I am feeling tired or stressed because it helps you to relax and gets more oxygen to your brain.

NATURAL SUNLIGHT

Exposing yourself to natural sunlight for 30 minutes produces natural vitamin D. As you all know vitamin D prevents Osteoporosis, depression, prostate cancer, breast cancer and the effects of diabetes and obesity. (quoted from the book Awaken the Healer in you)

Don't use sunblock as they prevent the production of Vitamin D. Just use common sense not to expose yourself too much in the sun more than 30 minutes as it can already cause skin pigmentation and skin cancer (depending on the time of day).

EXERCISE

Make time for exercise because it will lessen the burden that we have for the day just by getting rid of the toxins that we have in our bodies in the form of sweat.

Even if I get to have a super hectic week, I still make time for exercise. Some people think, that if they exercise they'll feel more tired but its actually the opposite.

Exercise (if done in moderation) refreshes and energizes you for the whole day and gives you much better sleep as well. It actually produces happy hormones and makes you feel good about yourself. Even if you have "big" problems, by mere exercising, it actually gives you a better perspective and you will find your problem actually smaller just because you feel better.

"People who don't make time for exercise will have to make time for sickness in the long run" -Robin Sharma
